Counselling
Mental Health and Well-Being
- Mental Health counselling is available at MDHS to all students. If you need someone to talk to JayJ McKinley and the Mental Health Team are here to help you. Please talk to your teacher, student services or the office and they will make a referral to JayJ McKinley on your behalf.
Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA)
- If you want to talk to someone about substance use, vaping, technology use and/or gambling, CMHA youth addictions counsellors are here to help you. Jackie Parkin is at MDHS every Tuesday. Please talk to your teacher, student services or the office and they will make a referral to Jackie Parkin on your behalf.
Huron Perth Public Health (Sexual Health Services)
- Students can access Sexual Health Services from the Huron Perth Public Health Sexual Health Team by:
- Call or text Perth-based nurses: 519-635-2504
- Call or text Huron-based nurses: 519-440-1439
- When possible, students should provide a name, phone number and reason for referral
