The Avon Maitland District School Board provides an opportunity for students to complete a secondary school credit over four weeks during the summer or complete cooperative education credits over five weeks. We offer several summer school programming options to meet the diverse needs and interests of secondary school students.
Students may only be registered in one course during the AMDSB summer school session.

English - NBE3U (University/Gr. 11)

English - OLC4O (Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course)
Cooperative Education Program - 2 Credits
This program provides students with the opportunity to explore career choices, gain work experience and earn two credits. It is also a requirement for SHSM (Specialist High Skills Major) programs.
Attendance Requirements
Regular attendance is required for success in summer school. One day of summer school is equivalent to one week of instruction in the regular school year. Students are expected to attend and engage in learning throughout the dates and times outlined for each program. Absence from summer school for personal activities or vacation cannot be accommodated.
